L&T Gardens & Groundworks Transforms SureStart Ashford’s The Willow Centre with New Sensory Garden

Updated: Jun 10, 2024

Ashford, 04 June 2024 — We at L&T Gardens & Groundworks are thrilled to announce the completion of a heartwarming project—a brand new sensory garden at SureStart Ashford's The Willow Centre. This community initiative was made possible through our collaboration with Jewson Ashford, located on Ellingham Industrial Estate, which generously provided the necessary materials. Our dedicated team volunteered their time and expertise to bring this vision to life.

Expressing our joy in contributing to the community, Lee Menzel, founder of L&T Gardens & Groundworks said, "It's nice to give back to the local community. Having two young children myself and having used the services at The Willow Centre, it’s great to be able to help."

Glenn Church from Jewson Ashford shared his enthusiasm for the project: "We are thrilled to support this wonderful project. At Jewson, we believe in contributing to our local communities, and it's been a pleasure to work with L&T Gardens & Groundworks to create a space that will benefit many families."

Sheila Tong, Business Manager at The Willow Centre, praised our efforts: "It's been a fantastic project, and we are so grateful to L&T Gardens & Groundworks and Jewson for their help. It means we have a lovely, welcoming space for our local families to enjoy."

The newly established sensory garden offers a nurturing environment designed to engage the senses of children and families visiting The Willow Centre. This project highlights the significant impact of community partnerships in enhancing local resources and supporting family well-being.
